Garcia Auto Repair has been the corner of Blackstone & Clinton for 31 years. Three ASE-certified techs, a written estimate before we touch the keys, parts-and-labor warranty on every job.
The shop
Hector Garcia opened the shop in 1995 after fifteen years as lead tech at a Chevy dealer service department. He left because he was tired of pushing repairs people didn't need. Garcia Auto Repair has been on the same corner of Blackstone Avenue ever since.
Today the shop runs three lifts, has four ASE-certified techs counting Hector, and services about forty cars a week. We work on domestic and import — Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevy, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru — and we tell you up front when something is outside our wheelhouse.
Every job comes with a written estimate before we start. Every part comes with a parts-and-labor warranty. If we tell you something needs fixing, you can have a second opinion and we'll wait. That's how we've kept customers across three generations of the same family.

Instant estimate
Pick your vehicle, pick what needs doing, and we'll give you a real range. No bait-and-switch. Book the appointment in the same flow if it works.
We'll tune the estimate to your year, make, and model. Mileage is optional but helps for high-mileage cars.
Why us
You're not paying for a dealership's service writers, free cappuccinos, or a brand markup. You're paying for the work.
We aren't paying for a service-writer commission, a glass-walled lobby, or a corporate brand fee. You aren't either.
You see the price before we turn a wrench. If something changes mid-repair, we call you before we keep going.
12 months / 12,000 miles on every repair, parts and labor. Some manufacturer-direct parts carry longer warranties.
Every tech is ASE-certified. Hector holds Master certification and the L1 advanced engine performance cert.
If your repair takes more than half a day, we have three loaners free for the day. Reserve when you book.

What customers say
★★★★★
“Hector caught a transmission issue three different shops missed. Saved me from a $4k rebuild — turned out to be a sensor. He could've taken me for the whole repair and didn't. That's why we keep coming back.”
★★★★★
“Got a quote from the dealership for $2,800 on a 'major service.' Garcia did the same work for $1,150 with better parts. Wrote up everything they were proposing and showed me what I actually needed.”
★★★★★
“We've been bringing our family's cars here since the late 90s. Three generations now. They know our vehicles by name and never push work we don't need. Honest people, fair prices.”
★★★★★
“Sarah at the front desk runs the place. Called me before doing extra work, sent photos of the worn parts, kept me posted all day. Picked up the car cleaner than I left it. This is what a repair shop should feel like.”
